About the Festival
The Turkish Festival offers a full day of free cultural activities, including folk dances, live music, authentic Turkish cuisine, fashion, and children’s arts & crafts.
Selected as “Best Festival” and “Best Cultural Festival” by Washington City Paper readers for 13 consecutive years, this premier celebration brings tens of thousands to downtown Washington, D.C. each year to experience Türkiye’s vibrant culture, cuisine, and hospitality.
Festival-goers can savor Turkish delicacies, sip traditional coffee, explore the Turkish Bazaar, and enjoy spectacular stage performances — all while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Türkiye.

Live Performances
This year’s lineup features electrifying performances by Necati & Saykolar, a renowned Anatolian rock band from Türkiye, alongside the MV Studio Dance Ensemble and Association of Crimean Turks, both traveling from New York to perform at the festival.
The stage will also welcome Kardelen Turkish Dance Ensemble, Nomad Dancers, Gulder USA, DMV Turkish Music Ensemble, Anar Umurzakova, Washington DC Youth Dance Ensemble, Seksenrock Band, Azerbaijani traditional musicians, and DJ Seyhan, among others.

The Turkish Festival’s bustling food court will transport visitors straight to the streets of İstanbul and the villages of Anatolia with a dazzling array of flavors. Guests can indulge in sizzling kebabs fresh off the grill, savory lahmacun, succulent döner, and böreks filled with cheese and herbs.
Sweet lovers will be spoiled for choice — from golden, flaky baklava dripping with honey to chewy Turkish delights and crispy, syrup-soaked tulumba pastries. Traditional favorites like gözleme (hand-rolled flatbread stuffed with delicious fillings) and simit (the iconic sesame-crusted bread ring) will also be available, complemented by strong Turkish tea and rich, aromatic coffee brewed the traditional way.
Prepared by local Turkish restaurants, chefs, and specialty vendors, the festival’s food court promises an authentic culinary journey through the diverse regions of Türkiye — from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean, and from Anatolia to Thrace.
Turkish Tea, Coffee & Fortune Reading
At the Turkish Tea House and Coffee House, guests can sip authentic Turkish tea and coffee while exploring cultural demonstrations, including Ebru (paper marbling). Don’t miss the popular coffee fortune readings — a beloved Turkish tradition.
Grand Bazaar
Browse the Turkish Bazaar, featuring more than 40 vendors offering handmade jewelry, ceramics, handwoven textiles, spices, and other traditional Turkish crafts.
Arts & Kids’ Activities
