Balik Ayhan was born in Kasimpasa, Istanbul. He introduced himself to global music, listening to international musicians. He took private percussions lessons for 4 years. Upon guidance of his teacher, he formed his band. He became the most-sought darbuka (tabor) player in the Turkish entertainment sector for famous musicians’ albums. His aim is to introduce Turkish music and musicians to the world and make “darbuka” (tabor) an internationally recognized musical instrument.
