On September 30th,we will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of our festival, which has become one of the most highly anticipated annual traditions in Washington D.C. Awarded by the Washington City paper readers as the “Best Festival of DC”in 2011, the Turkish Festival brings together 100 artists and more than 15,000visitors every year.

This year, in celebration of festival’s 10th anniversary, ATA-DC is delighted to announce the introduction of “Turkish Cultural Heritage Month” which will showcase rich cultural history of Turkey, authentic cuisine and fine arts through a full month of festivities. Partnering with the Textile Museum, a series of cultural events and exhibitions will enhancethe public knowledge and contribute to Washington, D.C.’s cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity. We aim to raise awareness of Turkish culture while highlighting its role as a bridge connecting the Balkanic, Middle Eastern, Caucasian, and Central Asian cultures.

“Turkish Cultural Heritage Month” will takeplace during the month of September. We will build bridges and friendship between Turkish and American people while recognizing the contributions ofTurkish Americans to the American society.
